2. Components Setup (Admin Preparation)

Before students can use the Veiledningsplan, admins must set up the building blocks (components).

2.1 Categories

  • Categories define broad areas of learning (e.g., Clinical Skills, Communication).

  • Each organization creates and manages its own set of categories.

How to create a new category:

  1. Press the New button.

  2. Enter the content (name/description of the category).

  3. Press Save.

Other actions:

  • Edit: Update an existing category by selecting it and pressing Edit.

  • Delete: Mark a category as deleted to hide it from new templates while keeping it in past documents.


2.2 Activities (Mandatory – at least 1 required)

  • Activities are specific tasks that students will perform.

  • Each Veiledningsplan must include at least one activity.

How to create a new activity:

  1. Press the New button in the Activities tab.

  2. Enter the activity name/description.

  3. (Optional) Link it to a relevant category.

  4. Press Save.

Other actions:

  • Edit: Change the name or details of an activity.

  • Delete: Mark as deleted if no longer needed.


2.3 Procedures

  • Procedures define detailed steps for performing an activity.

  • A single procedure can be linked to multiple activities.

How to create a new procedure:

  1. Press the New button in the Procedures tab.

  2. Enter the procedure description.

  3. Select the activity/activities it belongs to.

  4. Press Save.

Other actions:

  • Edit: Update procedure details.

  • Delete: Mark as deleted if no longer relevant.


2.4 Learning Outcomes (Mandatory – at least 1 required)

  • Learning Outcomes describe what the student should achieve.

  • Each Veiledningsplan must contain at least one outcome.

How to create a new learning outcome:

  1. Press the New button in the Learning Outcomes tab.

  2. Enter the description of the outcome.

  3. (Optional) Connect it to a category or activity.

  4. Press Save.

Other actions:

  • Edit: Revise existing outcomes.

  • Delete: Mark as deleted to hide from future templates.


2.5 Suggested Activities

  • Suggested Activities provide optional guidance for students during planning.

  • They are not mandatory, but help students make relevant choices.

How to create a new suggested activity:

  1. Press the New button in the Suggested Activities tab.

  2. Enter the description of the suggested activity.

  3. (Optional) Connect it to a category or activity.

  4. Press Save.

Other actions:

  • Edit: Update existing suggested activities.

  • Delete: Mark as deleted if no longer relevant.
